Meeting Jack on the Owl - San Francisco's night bus - turns Beatrix's world upside down. Jack is charming, wildly attractive . . . and possibly one of San Francisco's most notorious graffiti artists.
On midnight rides and city rooftops, Beatrix begins to see who this enigmatic boy really is. But Jack is hiding much more - and can she uncover the truth that leaves him so wounded?
Sometimes I think it is better to go into a book blind. I had been hearing so much about this book, and I had already fallen for it's incredibly beautiful cover, that I wanted to experience it for myself. And that is just what this book gave me. An experience. A journey.
Night Owls by Jenn Bennett is a fresh look on a contemporary novel, where conventions are spun on their head and a unique love story emerges. Bennett hascreated a cool and artsy novel with a romance that I found mysel instantly rallying for. Jack and Beatrix are hilarious together. They are funny and sweet, and real. They had their faults and they have their downfalls, but I don't think I have read a contemporary that felt so real.
Bennett never stopped surprising me. She crams so much into this novel, I found it impossible to put down. Night Owls is definitely one of those rarefinds where you do not want to stop reading, but you don't want it to be over. I did read it in one evening and I am kind of regretting not eeking it out as I am seriously beginning to crave more from this epic duo!
Night Owls is a beautiful, chic and unique story that I guarantee will be at the top of your 2015 reads!
